Methodology
Values are World Happiness Report Figure 2.1 Cantril ladder scores: three-year averages of nationally representative Gallup World Poll life evaluations on a 0-10 scale. The 2026 report rankings use 2023-2025 interviews. Country rows are joined by ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 after mapping published country names; territories without ISO3 are excluded. Map ranks are comparable-sample competition ranks among currently loaded countries, not the published World Happiness Report world rank. Figure 2.1 national averages are the public free download; Gallup World Poll microdata is not included.

Highest and lowest values
These lists use the same comparable-sample ranking as the map for 2025. They include only countries with a finite value among 143 available observations. Missing countries are unranked. This is not a complete world ranking.
